Air Purifiers
An air purifier gives you clean and safe air
An air purifier is essential for those with allergies and respiratory problems. An air purifier is also important for those who are healthy but want to avoid getting sick.
We help you find the air purifier that best suits your needs.
HEPA filter
Traditional filter that captures particles. Can be vacuumed, but also needs to be replaced. Most recommend replacing it once a year. Consider a filter subscription, so you don't forget. HEPA filters come in several classes depending on their density. HEPA-11 cleans well and purifies a lot of air. HEPA-13 is denser, so it cleans better, but not as large a volume of air.
HPP filter
HPP is an electrostatic filter. It never needs to be replaced, but you can wash it yourself under running water. While a HEPA filter becomes less effective with use, an HPP filter maintains its efficiency at all times.
Ionization
Ionization is a useful function that helps purify the air. Particles in the air adhere more easily to the filter. Ionization can also reduce odors and make the air feel "fresher." It can usually be turned off, but generally, we recommend most people keep it active all the time.
Carbon filter
Carbon filters reduce odors and chemicals (VOCs – volatile organic compounds). Such substances can come from building materials, furniture, and paint.
aerOHeal®
aerOHeal® is a special purification process that helps clean the air. aerOHeal® reduces odors, viruses, bacteria, and chemical compounds (VOCs). When the sun hits the atmosphere, hydroxyls are created that naturally purify the air. An air purifier with aerOHeal® mimics this with UV light and a special metal alloy inside the device.
PlasmaWave®
PlasmaWave® is created by small electrical discharges in the air, which also create hydroxyls. These hydroxyls reduce odors, viruses, and bacteria, and protect against VOCs. PlasmaWave® is often compared to ionization, but PlasmaWave® is much more effective.
What size air purifier?
Remember that the area specified by the manufacturer is often optimistic and assumes you run the fan at full speed. In practice, you won't do that. Therefore, choose an air purifier that seems slightly too large. If you want to calculate how powerful a fan you need, you can read this guide.
