Are you planning to install one or more room ventilators but are unsure which model to choose? Room ventilators come with different designs, functions, noise levels, and controls.
In this article, we have gathered our best tips and advice to help you choose the right room ventilator for your needs.
A room ventilator effectively replaces the air in a room, providing you with fresh and good air in all rooms. Perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, basements, and home offices!
Should you choose Ø160 mm or Ø100 mm?

When comparing these models, we see that Ø160 mm models have a much larger capacity and a lower noise level than Ø100 mm. The price difference is quite small, compared to the benefits that Ø160 mm provides. The Ø160 mm model can ventilate up to 30 m2 at speed 3, and optimal heat recovery is achieved at speed 1.
Always choose Ø160 mm if you have the option. The Ø100 mm version is intended for existing air ducts where it is not possible to establish a new 160mm duct in the room.
The 100 mm model can ventilate up to 20 m2 at speed 3, and optimal heat recovery is achieved at speed 1.
What should be done with larger rooms?
In larger rooms, multiple units are installed. Ideally, there should be 3 meters between the units. If the units are installed on opposite walls, it is an advantage to install Remote models and connect them in series so that they operate opposite each other. One blows air in while the one on the opposite wall sucks air out. Then both change direction simultaneously.
Installation
Arida ventilation should always be installed in an exterior wall. All models are easy to install. With a standard power cord and a hole in the wall - you are almost done with the installation.
Maintenance
All models must be maintained after 2000 - 3000 hours of operation. Remote models have an indicator light that shows when it's time for maintenance.
Maintenance is performed by wiping all components, including the inside of the air duct, with a dry cloth. The filters can be washed at 30 degrees. Washed filters must be completely dry before being placed on the heat exchanger. Filters must be replaced at least every two years.
The heat exchanger should be thoroughly vacuumed from both sides without using water.
To achieve the greatest possible heat absorption, the heat exchanger is made of raw ceramic. If raw ceramic is exposed to water, the material will dissolve.

Safe & Fresh Air Effectively replace the air in all rooms, without complex ventilation systems or expensive solutions. |
Low Operating Costs Very low power consumption during operation. The pre-filter that removes the largest dust particles can be vacuumed and washed. |
Low Noise Level The larger the pipe dimension, the lower the noise level. Arida 160RE produces only 4 dB of noise in night mode. |
Less Mold and Fungus Air circulation reduces the risk of mold and fungus formation. |
Alternative to Vent Flap Replaces the traditional vent flap with a simple, decentralized room ventilator. |
